The C-Seal
Lots of manufacturers make C-Seals and, as a result, it’s the most widely
used resilient metallic seal available today. But just because lots of people
make them doesn’t mean they make them right.
Here’s why ours are different: through an innovative Jetseal process, the
sealing surfaces of our C-Seals are rotationally polished to ensure continuous
sealing contact. That gives our seals excellent performance when low
leakage is what you need.
So, with our C-Seals, you get a cost-effective solution for a wide variety of
applications, available in multiple cross-sections and virtually any diameter
and material. And we can custom-design a low-seating, low bolt load profile
C-Seal to seal against soft metals like aluminum, as well.
C-Seals are:
• good for joints subject to multiple disconnect/reconnect
cycles, because
they won’t damage cavity surfaces.
• characterized by a high pressure-containment rating
(up to 65,000 psi).
• capable of moderate-to-good deflection.
• offered in linear sections and other noncircular shapes.
• ideal for inexpensive, one-time use.
• corrosion resistant.
• suited for environments like turbine engine case joints,
duct-to-case
flanges, hydraulic and pneumatic fittings, oil drilling
equipment, vacuum
components and systems, cryogenic
components and systems, and
lightweight flanges and
joints with low-bolting loads.
