The E-Seal
For low-to-moderate sealing force conditions, use E-Seals. We’ve configured ours for high cyclic deflections, high temperatures, and pressure impulses, and we can manufacture single and multiple convolution types in any suitable material.

Our E-Seals, available in a number of diameters and cross sections, come in two standard types: the standard pressure JE Series and the high pressure JH Series.

The JE Series (which we subdivide into JEI, internal pressure face seals, and JEE, external pressure face seals) is intended primarily for high deflection hot air and combustion sour gas duty at pressures to 600 psig and temperatures to 1200 F (Inconel 718) and 1350 F (Waspaloy).

Subdivided similarly, the JH Series is meant for operating pressures up to 10,000 psig and temperatures to 1200 F. It’s capable of sealing both liquids and gases.

In addition, the JE and JH Series may be plated for high pressure gas, liquid, and slurry sealing. Metallic and nonmetallic coatings are available for corrosion protection, enhanced sealing, sliding wear resistance, or erosive resistance.

E-Seals:
• are available as qualified AS1895 high-conformance
   components for use in high temperature, high pressure engine
   compressor bleed air ducting joints.
• offer superior resistance to corrosion, metal fatigue, and
   stress relaxation.
• can be produced in noncircular shapes.
• may be employed at metal temperatures from cryogenic
   ranges to 1350 F, and higher temperatures for shorter periods.
• work well for lightweight flanges and joints with low-bolting
   loads.
